Our client is a private equity backed consultancy group with an exciting growth trajectory. Their impressive client base is serviced by their London HQ and two further international hubs. At the heart of their success is their highly engaged workforce, which they are now looking to add to with the recruitment of a Head of FP&A. This is a high-profile role with many facets including developing the FP&A capability, leading commercial and analytical support, and focusing on building a best-in-class, business first, function whilst supporting future M&A. Reporting to the CFO key responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • To lead and develop the Financial Planning & Analysis capability within the Finance Team
  • Drive reporting and partnering to ensure that the finance P&L’s and performance metrics (KPI’s) are shared with the teams on a weekly and monthly basis, the data is communicated with breakdowns to enable them to meet /exceed their performance targets
  • Work with the Group Financial controller to ensure that the deferred revenue, debtors and revenue accruals are accurate and understood by senior management
  • Improving forecasting accuracy by developing a single framework that combines pipeline and revenue delivery
  • Leading, directing and coaching junior members of the finance team
  • Work with the Group Financial Controller to ensure monthly board pack reporting, acquisition reporting other exec key reports are accurate and timely
  • Lead the Annual Budget & reforecasting process
  • Liaising with senior managers to assess ongoing performance including overseas and newly acquired business units
  • Simplification of tools across departments to eliminate manual reporting and provide business stakeholders with greater access to live data
  • Support on pricing improvements by identifying revenue leakage, pricing patterns and improvements to support growth. Work with the Exec team to deliver a pricing strategy that is fit for purpose.
  • Work alongside the project management team to set up and review project and client profitability.

Experience

  • You will be a qualified accountant – with prior experience in leading an FP&A function
  • Strong leadership experience, including the ability to coach and energise other team members in the UK and abroad
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and well organised, with a focus on delivery
  • Strong systems and process skills, ideally with prior experience of leading significant system/process changes.
  • Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software and reporting tools
  • Previous experience in a PE/VC backed business an advantage
