Finance Director

Our client is an owner managed creative production agency and having experienced considerable growth over the past 12 months they are now looking to recruit a new FD to join their highly driven management team. Having full responsibility for end-to-end finance, the incoming FD will have a proven track record working in high growth businesses including driving improvements within finance and across a business including broader operational aspects. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody seeking a broad, highly visible role in a business that is well positioned to grow.

Main responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the Senior Leadership team and MD as a trusted partner helping to make decisions that both challenge and support the business.
  • Helping to develop and implement the commercial strategy, plans and budgets, as well as functional objectives, management practices and metrics
  • Continually monitoring financial performance, identifying opportunities to maximise revenue and cashflow
  • Developing and implementing efficient financial controls, processes and procedures and taking ownership of the full financial and accounting records, ensuring external compliance and statutory reporting requirements are met
  • Leading the development and continual improvement (as the businesses grows) of commentary and analysis of financial management information (such as P&L,
  • commercial performance, cash forecasts and other financial KPls) using key systems to give substantial visibility on financial data;
  • Determining the appropriate financial business objectives, budgeting/planning process, cost management and associated metrics, ensuring alignment with wider business strategic plans
  • Leading an existing small team and developing this as appropriate
  • Responsible for all tax matters of the business

Skills

  • Proven track record at a senior level in a fast growth, ideally agency, B2B environment
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering high-quality management information and analysis
  • Outstanding Leadership capabilities to inspire both direct and indirect colleagues as well as partners and suppliers to the business.
  • Ability and experience of working closely with an executive team to drive commercial outcomes, grow the business, and contribute to strategic discussions and decisions across all function areas;
