Salary: £120 - £150k + bonus + equity

Our client is a highly ambitious, rapidly growing SaaS B2B business with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. They are now looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated CFO who will lead the small Finance team reporting to the CEO. Your role, as CFO, will be to support and run all administrative, financial, and risk management operations helping the business achieve its growth targets. The CFO will play a key role in shaping the strategy and executing to the highest standard ensuring financial clarity.

Duties include primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities including the development of financial and operational strategies. The CFO will have direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis and negotiations and Third-Party relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organisational vision and operational strategy
  • Make the business more profitable, valuable, and investable
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual financial planning
  • Provide full financial transparency and control of every project, especially profit and loss in each department
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention within the finance department
  • Adhere to company, and international business protocols, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary
  • Analyse internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Directly oversee budget for each department to achieve growth targets over the near term and assisting in the processes of financial prediction and preparation of budgets
  • Develops and analyses metrics that showcase the company's performance
  • Monitor performance with tracking and establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Overseeing processes involved in the purchase, pricing, investments, debt management and accounts payable and receivable
  • Develops and analyses metrics that showcase the company's performance making recommendations based on them

Your Skills and Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA with over 8 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
  • Experience of advanced business planning and regulatory issues, ideally within a rapid growth
  • Experience of being involved in an organisation undergoing exponential growth
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong problem solving and ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • High level of integrity and dependability
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
  • Proficiency in various computer software, such as MS Word, MS Excel and other financial management software
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to strategise and devise solutions
  • Solid people skills, excellent business acumen, a driven self-starter and a doer, not a delegator are qualities that are admired
  • Experience of working in a scaling Tech/ SaaS business, ideally £20-£50m turnover

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • A professional finance qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing budgets and financial strategy for medium sized oganisations
  • Experience of Mergers and Acquisitions
