Interim Financial Controller

Our client is an entertainment and production group undergoing a period of growth and change. They span a diverse range of industries and the role reports directly to the MD, with oversight of 2 qualified accountants. They are seeking an interim FC to get into the detail, with previous experience of Xero, production or costing accounting.

Salary: £500 – £650 per day

Our client is an entertainment and production group undergoing a period of growth and change. They span a diverse range of industries and the role reports directly to the MD, with oversight of 2 qualified accountants. They are seeking an interim FC to get into the detail, with previous experience of Xero, production or costing accounting.

Responsibilities:

Preparation and/or review of management account commentaries and review

  • Detailed review of the work prepared by new hires and guidance on best practice accounting processes
  • Review of accounting, crypto currency and Xero transactions
  • Ensure intercompany recharges are up to date and intercompany balances reconcile (with the assistance of a new hires)
  • Preparation/Review of financial statements for the year and for all entities
  • Preparation/Review of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Review budget and forecasts
  • Detailed review of VAT returns across multiple entities to include review of export documentation
  • Ensure VAT, Companies House and HMRC deadlines are met

Candidates:

  • You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of production accounting and stock
  • Experience of VAT for both UK and international sales and purchases
  • Experience working for small medium sized companies
  • Some experience of cryptocurrencies is preferable
  • Xero experience
  • Excellent Excel skills
