Our client, a privately owned business services company in the media space, are now looking to recruit a truly hands FD who is capable of driving systems and operational improvements as the business prepares itself for its next stage of growth.

Profile

An experienced FD or FC with experience working in SMEs.
A big picture thinker able to use your experience to support growth plans, designing and implementing processes
A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
Appreciative of the fact that communication and stakeholder management skills are just as important as technical ability
Able to communicate with non-financial people
An experienced and effective manager
Excellent IT skills

Responsibilities

Working closely with the MD and Leadership Team to define and implement financial and commercial strategy
Leading the finance team to ensure timely preparation of budgeting cycles, financial reports, and management accounting
Preparation & delivery of monthly financial reports at Leadership Team meetings
Encouraging the finance team to partner in a variety of ways with other departments to build relationships and encourage new thinking
Management of external audit and owning banking relationships
Writing, evolving and embedding accounting procedure and relevant compliance
Assisting with all financial contracts with both suppliers and clients to ensure the business is both protected and well positioned
