Our client is a fast paced, PE backed technology business with an enviable blue-chip client base. Having a strong market presence, both in the UK and overseas, the business continues on a double-digit growth trajectory in its respective markets. They are seeking a best-in-class Finance Director for the UK Region of their business, which also contains 8 international subsidiaries. The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance within the UK whilst working closely with the MD and reporting into the Group CFO. The incoming FD will need excellent team management skills together with credibility and gravitas to work effectively as part of a highly driven management team. As a result of the continued rapid growth, both organic and through acquisition, process improvements and simplification will be an important part of this role within the scope of a transformation programme. Additionally, exit preparedness will be a key area of focus.

Responsibilities:

  • Business and Commercial partner to the MD
  • Day to day financial management of the business
  • Full financial analysis to support the business
  • Oversee periodic budget and forecast preparation
  • Ongoing working capital management
  • Cash flow forecasting, monitoring and reporting
  • Mentoring and leadership of the finance and purchasing team
  • Manage relationship with Group Finance and CFO
  • Project Control, ensuring each project is cash positive
  • Statutory Compliance: Audit, Tax, Company Secretarial for 9 entities

Profile:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
  • Previous PE experience essential, exit experience a strong advantage
  • Previous experience of IT projects / recurring revenue type businesses advantageous
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with Stakeholders is essential
  • Hands-on accounting experience with an ability to manage Audit and compliance
  • International experience is essential
  • Strong project management skills are essential
