As a result of this growth, they have created a new opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their small, highly motivated team. Reporting to the Finance Director this is a broad role covering both financial accounting and management reporting plus day-to-day finance and administrative work. Currently, much of the accounting is provided by an external firm of accountants with the intention to bring this work in house under the control of the new Financial Accountant. This role would suit an ambitious individual who would like to be part of a distinctive, artistically led, commercially driven organisation.

Responsibilities:

Financial reporting (using Xero) and monthly Management Accounts production, including variance analysis

  • Production of annual statutory accounts
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Accounts receivable: general management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of the financial elements of the monthly board pack
  • Updating and maintaining financial model in Excel
  • Assist with payroll
  • Liaison with the external auditors
  • Ad hoc assistance to Finance Director

Requirements:

  • You will be a qualified accountant or finalist
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM useful
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, and the ability to think clearly and learn quickly.
  • Ability to manage numerous, diverse requirements and prioritise accordingly
