Financial Controller (must be available within 1 month)

Our client is a high growth omni channel provider of luxury niche foods, recently acquired by an international group. Due to a unique offering they have scaled dramatically and envisage further growth both in the UK and overseas. Having partnered up with leading retailers and developed a thriving new business (via dark kitchens) this is an exciting time to join the organisation. You will be expected to support commercial decisions that enable growth, provide analysis and relevant management information, as well as focus on ERP and IT systems. This would suit a candidate with experience of managing a finance department in a growth business who enjoys working with a dynamic team.

Salary: To c £70k + bonus + bens

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of all aspects of the management accounts.
  • Year-end statutory reporting.
  • All statutory tax filings, including VAT returns, PAYE and R&D claims.
  • Preparation of cash-flow forecasts.
  • Assistance in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Maintenance of the company’s financial forecast model.
  • Assisting CFO with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  • Improve internal processes, reports and the financial culture in the company.
  • Key role in moving company over to ERP system.
  • Commercial acumen and driving cost savings.
  • Manager current finance team and lead on outsourcing where appropriate.

The ideal candidate:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or ACA)
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail or multi-site hospitality preferable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Excel skills are critical
