Financial Controller

Salary: £85-90k + bonus + bens

Our client is a successful PE backed digital publishing and analysis provider; they have an international presence with a number of overseas offices. With experienced investors and a high calibre management team, they are in a strong position financially and have a longstanding and loyal customer base.

There is a requirement for a Financial Controller, reporting to the CFO with responsibility for all areas of accounting, control and operational finance for the group. You will be leading a team in London/Overseas and there will be significant interaction with senior management.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Management and development of finance team of 4
  • Ensure accurate, complete and comprehensive financial records across the global group
  • Development and maintenance of control, process and systems
  • Review of month end and consolidation for all group companies
  • Management of group Treasury, including cashflow forecasting
  • Ensure delivery of year end statutory accounts, management of external audit
  • Reporting of financial information and management data, working with head of FP&A
  • Development and monitoring relevant components of annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Ensuring financial regulatory compliance across the group
  • Management of finance compliance, including the group’s tax compliance and returns, including corporation tax, sales taxes / VAT, local jurisdiction taxes
  • Working with CFO to ensure maintenance of global tax policy, including transfer pricing
  • Management of group Treasury, including cashflow forecasting


Candidate requirements:

  • Strong academic track record, including university degree
  • You will be ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
  • Leadership experience and ability to develop staff
  • Demonstrable ability to manage, review and improve day to day finance operations and processes
