Our client is an acclaimed, UK Headquartered, Casual Dining & Food to Go Group with high profile PE owners who are focused on scaling and diversifying their footprint. Their stable of brands includes both established and rapid growth offerings and an exciting value creation agenda lies ahead. As part of their succession planning a Deputy Financial Controller is sought to work closely with the current Financial Controller, Group CFO and Corporate Finance Director. The role plays an integral part being dual facing, helping to manage key external relationships as well as leading and managing a Finance and Shared Services team, with overall responsibility for forecasts, cash management and group reporting. The role:

  • Working with a variety of internal stakeholders to support individual business areas set and achieve goals and targets
  • To lead and manage the Central Finance function comprising 25 individuals
  • Develop and maintain a suite of KPIs/ reports to inform management on balance sheet health and ratios
  • To oversee the year end statutory, audit and annual report processes
  • Understand and manage working capital movements to the company’s best advantage
  • To oversee the year end statutory, audit and annual report processes, managing the auditors and tax advisors
  • To manage the company’s risk management program
  • Oversee all cash banking requirements and day to day cash management
  • To ensure compliance with accounting standards and ensure technical updates are accommodated and understood by the finance teams at large

Requirements:

  • You will be a qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting and taxation skills
  • Keen to develop commercial skills and make an impact
  • Strong presentational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, develop and drive a team and individuals to perform consistently at a high level
