Group Head of FP&A

Salary: to c. £120k + LTIP/bonus

Our client is on an exciting and ambitious international buy and build journey. With some key assets already acquired and an established pipeline of opportunities the group is looking to reach a valuation in excess of £1bn in the next 5 years. They are well funded by a very experienced and active European investor and have an impressive top team. The CFO is seeking an exceptional Group Head of FP&A to support this growth and build/recruit a first in class FP&A function. As you would expect, given how close the role will be to the business, there will initially be some travel to South America and Europe to help to build the group. Ordinarily the Head Office is based in central London, with hybrid working in place. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and commercial finance professional looking to support value creation and be instrumental in building a business from early stage to a planned EBITDA of over £60m.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management information including board reporting
  • Production of information required by investors
  • Support to the Group CEO and Group CFO to deliver insightful information and KPIs
  • Ownership of financial planning, including 5-year plans, budgets, forecasts as well as monthly reporting against these targets
  • Oversight and management of a team to deliver business insight to deliver tangible performance improvements along with utilising regional resources to develop a group wide reporting framework that is fully engaging
  • Develop a 5-year business plan model to form the basis of future long-term insights
  • Develop specific models for future insights, and revenue models
  • Own group financial models and deliver annual budgets and monthly forecasts in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly Board information and commentaries to an exceptional standard
  • Drive integration of FP&A activities to ensure timely and accurate information is available at a group level soon after acquisition
  • Support business leaders in providing relevant data and analysis to drive decision making activities
  • Lead on all processes ensuring latest business development is being captured and its impact across P&L, balance sheet and cash flow is being monitored and communicated
  • Champion continuous improvement and standardisation of processes, including implementation of best practices and automation initiatives, collaborating with technology teams

Candidate Requirements:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Excel superuser with extensive experience of using and developing Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solutions
  • Proficient user in BI tools and Data Analytics
  • Enthusiastic and energised to deliver the key objectives for FP&A in the business
  • Resilient, flexible and pragmatic
