Head of Finance/Regional FD

Our client is a leading and well established European private equity investment manager with a deep knowledge and expertise in value creating, real estate related investments. The key to their success is in their European – wide local teams who are focused on building mutually beneficial partnerships deploying a unique mix of market knowledge and a pragmatic ability to spot value enhancing opportunities. As they continue to grow, they have opened a London office which has an enthusiastic, dynamic and collaborative team. They now seek a progressive Head of Finance/Regional FD to join this team and support their business with an added potential to gain additional group wide responsibilities. The role will also work closely with the Fund Administrators and the Group CFO within a relatively flat and agile environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Controlling the UK companies finances – including managing the budget, operating financial controls and reviewing management accounts, statutory accounts and taxes
  • Partner the investor team in developing the portfolio and reporting best practice
  • Building up strong operational infrastructure and controls environmental to support UK growth
  • Close interaction with our fund administrator and Group Finance team on investor reporting
  • Managing relationships with key third-party service providers, including tax, accounting and company secretary functions
  • Supporting deal structures and related Tax, VAT and supporting Co Sec requirements
  • Management of the treasury function including regular updates of cash flow forecasting to inform future drawdowns and requirements,
  • Ensure operational best practices in portfolio companies with regards to accounting, payroll, expenses, tax, legal and other matters leveraging outsourced and in-house resources as appropriate and harnessing technology and automation where possible

Key requirements for the role:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) educated to degree level
  • Experience within funds or other financial services / real estate / development companies
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
  • Project management skills, able to multi-task with excellent time management
  • An understanding of tax structuring and corporate set ups
  • Strong technical skill in statutory reporting
  • Adept at Excel modelling
  • Commercial and creative with a growth-mindset
  • Of a can-do attitude and calm under pressure and a collaborative team-player

Working from their offices in central London - you would need a strong presence in the office with occasional work from home days.
