Group Accountant

Salary: To c. £65k + bonus + benefits

Our client is a highly acquisitive, Private Equity backed, international Technology and Business Services Group on an exceptional global growth trajectory, making it the world’s fastest growing group in this sector. They are looking to recruit a group accountant, who will play a key part in working with regional offices as well as developing Group Consolidations and reporting. This would suit an ambitious accountant with strong technical skills and the desire to gain significant acquisitions/integration experience and exposure to Private Equity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly group reporting and consolidation (P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet).
  • Analytical review of the financial reports and performance of companies in the group
  • Design and implementation of new financial controls, accounting standards, policies and best practice.
  • Manage statutory reporting, audit and compliance, including filing of statutory accounts
  • Accounting for acquisitions and business integrations.
  • Responsibility for the multi-currency consolidation and reporting platform including maintaining the chart of accounts and GL structure and onboarding newly acquired businesses into the Group chart of accounts.
  • Ownership and main contact for the financial close process
  • Maintenance of consolidation journals and reports for use by both internal management and external investors
  • Manage tax and treasury matters including foreign exchange and multi-currency

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • Experience of group consolidations (under IFRS) and financial reporting, with experience of multi-currency and foreign exchange
  • You must possess strong excel skills
  • A desire to progress in a fast-paced growth organisation
  • Open communication, transparency and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Hybrid working is offered (min 2 days per week in office)
