Group Accountant

Our client is a disruptive Global Technology Company combining a focus on the development of a cutting-edge infrastructure product suite, with the provision of high value fintech services to an impressive range of blue-chip clients. They are at a point of exponential growth and value creation and are looking to add to their finance team with the addition of a talented and ambitious Group Accountant. The role will be integral to the exceptional quality finance team, supporting the Financial Controller, focusing on statutory and management reporting and providing technical guidance.

Salary: To c.£65k + exceptional LTIP/Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Statutory reporting, consolidations and management reporting, preparation of notes to the accounts
  • Lead role in the transition from FRS 102 to IFRS, overseeing process and controls implemented for transition and integrated into the wider group reporting
  • Understanding and calculating balance sheet positions impacted by IFRS 9, 15 and 16.
  • Assisting in assessing new disclosure requirement under IFRS
  • Review and maintenance of financial controls
  • Involvement in wider group finance functions including cash management.

The Candidate:

  • ACA qualified, having trained with a top 10 ten accounting practice
  • Technically up to date (strong understanding of IFRS 1,9, 15 and 16)
  • Previous experience of supporting clients transitioning to IFRS (desirable)
  • High attention to detail and ability to communicate with clarity
  • Strong excel skills
  • You must have good organisational skills and be deadline orientated
