Our client is a fast growing, PE backed multi-site hospitality business with an impressive trading history.

Having recently secured significant PE funding they are now looking to recruit a highly commercial CFO. They would be working closely with the MD to drive the successful execution of the business strategy and ensure growth targets are met. Responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships, including new PE investors and Banks, the incoming CFO will need to have excellent presentation and modelling skills and will be strongly data driven. The business has an excellent Finance/ IT team and the CFO will be a key mentor to that team ensuring that the systems and processes remain robust and fit for a business set to grow significantly over the coming years, primarily via the acquisition of new sites. This is a broad role incorporating additional operational responsibilities and whilst being highly driven and robust, it is essential that the new CFO also has a collaborative style of working. Main Duties:

  • Finance and management reporting function supporting the Board through the preparation of budgets and financial reports and providing advice and guidance on financial strategy
  • Oversee systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of the company’s finances, including the financial control framework
  • Supporting and partnering the management team to deliver the company strategy
  • Management of external audit and banking relationships
  • Effective stakeholder management (PE Investor & Shareholders)
  • Developing the IT strategy ensuring the IT requirements of the business are met
  • Assisting the MD with formulating an acquisition and CAPEX strategy as this will play a significant role in the growth of the business.
  • Company Secretarial, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies
  • Responsible for broader operational matters, including HR, IT and Legal

Profile

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in a high-growth, exit driven business
  • A strong and up to date knowledge of IT systems and process management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills having the ability to work closely and communicate with both financial and non-financial people
  • Ability to deliver fast ‘helicopter view’ commercial financial analysis as well as bottom up detailed modelling
  • A change manager who thrives working in a fast paced environment
  • Previous M&A/ transaction experience is essential as the business is working towards acquiring additional properties which may be individual or groups of properties
  • Experience of working in a leisure/ hospitality/ multi-site business preferred
