Salary: Up to £140k + Equity

Our client is a disruptive VC backed technology business and they are now seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to help guide the company through its next phase of expansion, including potentially a substantial institutional fund raising, and the preparation of the business for a value realisation event for its shareholders (be that a listing, secondary offering or trade sale). The role will report directly to the CEO and will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the Company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with colleagues on the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to the refinement and evolution of the business's Corporate Strategy.
  • Develop and execute an effective Financial Strategy for the business aligned with the overall goals of the company.
  • Support the CEO in providing regular updates to the Board on progress and expected progress against financial targets and other performance indicators.
  • Support the communication of the prospects of the business to potential investors, shareholders and within the context of potential M&A activity.
  • Lead the development and growth of the finance team.


Required Experience and Expertise:

  • Proven track record as a CFO in fast growing technology companies, including experience of building a solid working relationship with CEO, senior management team, and major shareholders
  • Experience of guiding innovative companies to public and/or private equity exits
  • Excellent network within capital markets
  • Strategic thinker and business planner, with a high degree of skill and experience in translating alternative futures into credible and supported valuation scenarios.
  • Strong corporate governance skill set
  • Demonstrable experience in public capital markets and M&A activity
  • Previous fundraising experience is essential
