  • Finance Director ref: JABT

    Salary: £100-£120k

    Our client is a long established, very successful and popular cultural and artistic destination and is already a venue for a vast array of events, hospitality and other civic activities. The Trustees and management team have ambitious plans for growth and the organisation is perfectly positioned with its numerous partners to expand its reach and deepen engagement with a much wider potential audience. The strong financial position of the organisation will allow implementation of an ambitious strategic plan and as a key part of enacting this plan a new Finance Director is sought to partner the CEO in leading this exciting and dynamic expansion and change programme.

    Our client is technology business which is disrupting the traditional market place it operates in. As part of its exciting growth plans, the business now wishes to appoint a CFO to the UK holding company Board to work as a business partner alongside the CEO.     Duties & Responsibilities:

    o Accurate & timely completion of all key B/S reconciliations, and the review of these outputs

    o The monthly payroll, including liaison with the Payroll Bureau.

    · Work with the company’s auditors & advisors to manage the preparation of accurate annual statutory accounts and tax returns in all applicable territories.

    · Maintain professional relations with the company’s bankers, and ensure that the company is in full compliance with all covenants and obligations.

    · Review & sign-off where appropriate pricing levels, T&Cs and customer legal documents.

    · To support directors and stakeholders on forecasting and analysis of commercial and market data including cash flow and forecast information.

    · All matters regarding Company Secretarial & compliance.

    · Ownership of all insurance matters.

    Experience:

    · Extensive experience of strategic, business and financial management planning processes.

    · Experience of subscription based businesses is preferred but not essential.

    · Strong excel skills, and experience of creating and operating financial models.

    · Ability to analyse and interpret financial and commercial data, draw conclusions and confidently make recommendations to the business.

    · Extensive experience of business partnering, and a proactive approach to support & influence budget holders and the business to achieve goals.

    · Ability & willingness to get ‘stuck into the detail’ one moment, and to take a strategic helicopter view the next.

    · Knowledge of commercial contracts, T&Cs and the legal environment.

    · Previous experience of operating in media, publishing and/or subscription based business would be ideal, as would operating in a SME.

This is a truly commercial role with responsibility across the business at the highest level and the FD will play a key part in the continued growth of the Group.

    Salary: £100,000 plus equity incentive

    Location: Warwickshire

    The Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company strategy and for the flow of meaningful financial information to the CEO, Board and investors.

    Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants with significant experience at a senior level. They will most likely have a background in the consumer arena with experience of managing stock. Previous experience of the retail environment, multi-site operations, private equity and operating in a leveraged environment would also be advantageous.     Salary: £100k pro rata (£40k for 8 days per month)

    It is likely you will have had previous experience working in an SME where there is a need to be truly hands-on, ensuring the smooth running of operational finance, whilst being comfortable managing key stakeholder relationships, including banks and external investors.
