Our client is a fast growing, business services group with impressive future plans.  They are now looking to recruit a Finance Director who will be one of the key supports to the Managing Director and Group CFO with regular exposure at Board level.  This role will be responsible for providing detailed reporting, analysis, commercial insight and recommendations and will manage a sizeable team.

Duties and Responsibilities

•           Contribute to the overall leadership of the division. 

•           Leadership, management and development of the finance team and the IT function

•           Collate, review, challenge and consolidate reporting including balance sheet, cash f         low, forecast, KPIs and trend analysis

•           Work with the MD on key commercial growth plans including organic growth and acquisition target assessments.

•           Analyse and challenge key variances to budget, unusual movements in trends and the correct operation of internal controls

•           Assist with the negotiation of contracts with key suppliers and any key customer agreements

•           Support Account Directors in the implementation and roll out of new contracts from a financial perspective

•           Support sales and accounts team in client facing pitches where finance processes and payment is a key factor for success

Experience

•           A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

•           Experience of working in a hands-on role in an entrepreneurial business, including acquisitions activity

•           A strong and up to date knowledge of IT systems and process management

•           Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work closely and communicate with both financial and non-financial people

•           Ability to deliver fast ‘helicopter view’ commercial financial analysis as well as bottom up detailed modelling

•           A change manager who thrives working in a fast paced environment

•           Previous experience of working in a contracts business
