Our client is a well-known social enterprise, providing specialist services which focus on improving individuals lives across a wide range of situations and circumstances.  In essence, the organisation improves peoples quality of life and their overall life opportunities.  The organisation is well established with a high public profile and operates throughout the UK.  The key purpose of this role is to lead, drive and develop the corporate financial and commercial strategy and ensure that the strategy is implemented.   Key accountabilities of the role are:

Leading and developing financial strategy
Leading and developing commercial strategy
Corporate responsibility and social investment
Operational delivery
Pensions management
Audit – internal and external
Property strategy
Payroll and procurement management 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance professional who has previously been the no 1 in Finance and who has sufficient gravitas and credibility to operate at Board level.  In addition, the successful candidate should have worked in a range of organisations - ideally in the private as well as the not-for-profit sectors and  should be able to demonstrate suitability to work in a highly visible and challenging yet stimulating position within the senior management team of a well- known social enterprise with an annual revenue that exceeds  £100m.
