Our client combines tech and digital media.  As a result of high levels of growth and strong market presence they have been acquired by a multinational media and digital marketing communications group.  They are seeking a high calibre Head of Finance.  The role reports directly to the CEO and COO and will be a key member of the management team, providing valuable financial insights that assist in strategic development.  Their head office is based in Central London, with satellite offices in the US and Australia.

Job Specification:

  • Ensuring that financial processes, systems and controls in place are fit for purpose and appropriately maintained 
  • You will be the driving force behind making any necessary changes to ensure the finance side of the business is running 100% smoothly and compliantly
  • Assisting the CEO, COO and Board with group strategy and expansion including evaluation of new commercial opportunities, financial modelling and the set-up and management of new offices in different jurisdictions
  • The Head of Finance is the primary point of contact on all financial matters, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all reporting requirements are met
  • Source and manage accurate external accountancy advice necessary for the business and make those relationships more cost efficient and effective
  • Evolving and improving financial systems and processes as the business grows rapidly and meets the needs of group reporting
  • Assisting in any investment processes and due diligence
  • Preparing financial statements and external audits, overseeing monthly financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Compiling, liaising and understanding the annual budget and reforecasting process
  • Management of cash flow, banking and treasury
  • Managing finance team employees to ensure their KPIs are met and that they progress as team members
  • Advising on and assisting with remuneration structures
  • Involvement in the management of related joint ventures
  • Financial support for new business cases and projects

You will be:

  • A qualified accountant
  • Ability to work autonomously and own all finance issues
  • Ability to build relationships across the organisation and with external advisors
  • Strong technical skills and excellent commercial awareness
  • A committed team player, it is vital you have a hands-on approach and are willing to role your sleeves up
  • A positive attitude that will fit in a zero politics energetic and driven culture
