Our client is a high-growth software business with global operations. This dynamic SaaS business is rapidly expanding and has enviable long-term contracts with international corporations.


Assist the Group Controller across all responsibilities
Be responsible for the revenue recognition and billing processes for software implementation projects
Be the Finance liaison with the sales and project teams to understand progress and risks especially the Sales Administrator and Project Management Officer (PMO).


Review contracts to understand contract deliverables and billing criteria.
Manage data quality in the revenue recognition process from contracts to sales invoices
Prepare the monthly sales invoices for project man-days, expenses and software licences.
Manage the Revenue file including actual revenue recognised and forecast revenue
Reconcile the Harvest time reporting system monthly to project reports and update the revenue file.
Reconcile the Revenue file to revenue in the Sage accounting system each month.
Manage the revenue recognition balance sheet accounts – Deferred Revenue, Accrued Income and Rechargeable expenses.
Prepare the monthly revenue recognition journal.
Prepare customer & project profitability reports using utilisation, contracted rates and cost allocations.
Prepare fortnightly revenue forecasts and annual budgets based on submissions from the sales and operations teams.
Communicate Revenue forecasts to the Leadership team, attend forecast meetings and respond to queries.
Maintain a database of customer prices and ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue)
Lead on implementation of a management reporting tool

The Candidate

Aspires to be the Group Financial Controller

Qualified accountant

University graduate (minimum 2:1 or higher)

Minimum 2 years PQE

High technical standards

Expert-level in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

Experienced in Professional Services/SaaS business; knowledge of project accounting and revenue recognition policies

Strong communication and people skills; keen to be involved and be at the heart of projects.
