Our client is a global private-equity backed travel services business. Significant private-equity investment is driving business growth across Europe and the USA.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Finance in our central London office, this role deals with managing the day to day activities of the finance function and assumes responsibility for the production of month end financial and management information.

Duties include:

  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Process monthly payroll.
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Post month end sales journals, depreciation, accrued attraction costs
  • Produce monthly management accounts for the UK group to tight deadlines
  • Assist in production of monthly MI pack
  • Attend periodic stock takes and account for stock on accounts system
  • Review bank and web sales reconciliations
  • Responsibility for accounts and payroll software
  • Responsibility for IT systems
  • Responsible for managing Sagepay
  • Supervise the two Assistant Management Accountants
  • Support the SVP Finance.
  • Any ad hoc tasks as required by the SVP Finance or the Group Chief Finance Officer

Skills and Requirements

Technical skills

  • Advanced excel knowledge
  • Qualified with 2-3 years PQE
  • Strong data processing and manipulation experience
  • Sage 200 experience preferable but not essential

Personal skills

  • Very good interpersonal skills and the and the ability to get on well with people
  • Strong communication skills
  • Methodical mindset
  • Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines
